Networking becomes a major issue when enterprises adopt a multi-cloud strategy. From local VLAN and subnetting features to cloud interconnects, routing and security, today’s enterprises lean heavily on the native networking functions and services of their cloud providers. Unfortunately, these native offerings are proprietary to individual cloud providers, which makes building and operating an end-to-end, multi-cloud network extremely complex. 

Multi-cloud networking is a universal problem. Today, 72% of enterprises use multiple cloud providers, and by 2024, that number will increase to 88%. EMA’s newly published market research, Multi-Cloud Networking: Connecting and Security the Future, found that 93% of IT enterprises that use two or more cloud providers want to implement an end-to-end, multi-cloud networking solution. The report, based on a survey of more than 350 IT stakeholders, found that network complexity and budget issues are holding many of them back.
